The Ingredients for Life

Learning how they withstand extreme environments, such as those experienced by astronauts in space with microgravity and increased radiation, can help research aimed at safeguarding humans from the challenges of prolonged space travel. An experiment aboard the International Space Station, called Cell Science-04, will hopefully help reveal how tardigrades do it.
